He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Whitfield and Kathleen Whitfield; and his brother Donnis Dewey Whitfield. He is survived by: his wife Judy Whitfield; his son Steven Whitfield (Michelle) of Sulphur; his grandchildren, Raeleigh Freeman (Greg) of Kountze, TX and Andi Whitfield of Sulphur; his great grandchildren, Myles and Westyn Freeman; and his close friend Carrol Hooks of Harrisburg, NC.
