He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce "Blue" Spell and Shirley Spell; his brother Jimmy Dean Spell; his son Dennis McKnight Jr.; and his granddaughter Santana Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Spell; his children, Blaine Spell, Terri, Greg Pavlovich, Mark, Mary Spell, Cindy and Darrell Cradeur; his siblings, Jane Nelson, Charlotte and Joe Goodfriend; and his sister-in-law Martha Lou Spell.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson & Robison Funeral Home (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
