He was predeceased by: his daughter Christina Fontenot; and his sister Carolyn Muncher. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dupre Dykes; and his children, Jimmy Dykes (Ethel), Lawanna Welch (Danny) and Jody Dykes (Rachel). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
