He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Ellender; his sons, John Ellender (Tina Ellender) and Jason Ellender; his granddaughters, Brittany Thibodeaux and Margaux Ellender; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Asher Wheatherly; his stepgrandchildren, Andrew Butzbach and Abigail Butzbach; and his brother Charles Ellender. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson and Robison Funeral Home (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the BIG Woods Cemetery (3925 Big Woods Cemetery Rd, Vinton, LA 70668).
