He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Cormier, Elias Cormier, Jr., Debra Guidry, Belinda Cormier and Celeste Deshotel; and his siblings, Anna, Thelma, Houston, Lucille, Linda, Patsy, Marella and Betty. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
