He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Benoit and Judy Sweeney; his brother James Anthony Benoit; and his grandparents, Emile and Loreta Cormier.

He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Fazzio (Chad); and his brothers, Brian Sweeney of Sulphur and Terry Lee Sweeney Jr. (Gail) of Houma. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
