David Buttross Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2021, at the age of 95, David Buttross Jr. (Sulphur, Louisiana), born in Gulfport, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Abraham Buttross; his children, Lily Zaunbrecher (Danny), Dr. Melanie Buttross of McLean, VA, Dr. David Buttross, III (Mia) and Charlotte Scott (Mike) of Mandeville, LA; his grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Zaunbrecher, III (Haley), Alexandra Zaunbrecher, Dr. Nicolas Zaunbrecher, Sarah Zaunbrecher, Claire Thomas, William Thomas, Grace Anne Scott, Michael Scott, Mary Rose Buttross, Madelyn Buttross, Elizabeth Buttross, Layla Buttross and David Buttross, IV; and his sister Fran Payne. He is also survived by his mother, father, and seven siblings.
He returned to New Orleans at Charity Hospital where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 1953.
