He was predeceased by: his wife Yvette Breaux; his parents, Edward Breaux and Nina Breaux; his sisters, Mary McFarlain and Francis Smith; and his stepsons, Kenneth "Kenny" Lavergne, Morris "Mushy" Lavergne and Larry Lavergne.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Richard (Randy); his grandchildren, Kayla Richard, Charlie Richard, Alex Richard and Dustin Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Richard, Jackson Jordan, Kennedy Jordan and Greyson Richard. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
