He is survived by: his wife Ola Ruth Hollifield Remedies; his children, Adrianne Jo Remedies, Allen Joe Remedies (Denise) of Blanchard and Don Michael Remedies; his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Remedies, Tristen Remedies and Destiny Remedies; and his siblings, Judy Fergerson and Eldon Flo Remedies.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shreveport, 1501 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71104 in loving memory of Joe Remedies.
