He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel Dean Wallace and Marshall Raymond King; his stepfather Aubrey Day; his granddaughter Autumn Renee Spruell; and his brother Cliff Patton.
He is survived by: his children, Summer King, Emma King, Stephanie King and James Marshall King, Jr.; his sisters, Connie Williams, Carla King, Matilda Parker and Bonnie Price; his grandchildren, Hunter Vogt, Luke King, Brayden Spruell, Landon Spruell, Gracelynn Shirey, Harper Lee Shirey and Charlotte Shirey; and his close friend Pine Dupree.
