He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Wood, Sr. and Betty Wood; and his granddaughter Savannah Reese. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wood; his children, Chad Wood, Brad Wood and Jessica Reese (Trey); his siblings, Buddy Wood and Debbie Wood; his grandchildren, Carley Wood, Cooper Reese, Brooke Wood, Piper Wood, Logan Reese and Emaleigh Wood; and his niece Hannah Jerkins. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to New Light Baptist Church or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
