She was predeceased by: her husband James Aubrey Gillis, Sr.; her son James Aubrey Gillis, Jr.; her parents, James Johnson and Millie Johnson; and her siblings, Paul Johnson, Samuel Ray Johnson, Dr. Lester Johnson, Carmen Ashworth, James Albert Johnson, OJ Poole, Dorothy Stanley, Jewell Ainsworth and Rubye Rackley.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Eugene Gillis (Juanita) and Arnold Ray Gillis (Darlene); her grandchildren, Mark Gillis, Christy Fear, Waylon Gillis (Kimberly), Nathan Gillis (Jaclyn) and Justin Gillis (Jessica); and her sister Pauline Collins. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
