He is survived by: his children, James Glenn Stains (Andrea), Carroll Stains (Cindy), Carolyn Ann Langley (Pat), Luther Stains, Jack Stains, Serena Perkins (Ronnie), Christine Alegria, Crystal Stains, Michelle Ware (Kevin), Melissa Foreman (Troy), Pate Stanley, Jr. (Rachel), Gloria Butler (Mark), Douglas Buster (Dougie), Phyllis Buster and Kimberly Ruggles; and his siblings, Martha Mae Miller, Nellie Steele and William Hardy Perkins. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
