Sammy W. Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sammy W. Smith of Springhill, Louisiana, born in Summit, Mississippi, who passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Houston and Allie Mae Martin Smith; and his daughter Judy Melissa "Lisa" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Judy Smith; his son John W.; his daughter-in-law Stacy Smith of Haughton, LA; his grandchildren, Cecelia (Nate), Bailey, Macy, Mackenzie and Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Brantley and Caroline Jane. He is also survived by other family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sammy was a strong supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and in lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to St. Jude or to the Shriner's Hospital.
