She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Reams Hurdt and Lena Belle Watkins Hurdt; her husband Donald Lee Helms; and her sons, Jimmy Don Helms and Tommy Dale Helms.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Jeffery W. Helms of Sarepta and Steven L. Helms (Nikki) of Sarepta; her great grandchildren, Lindsey H. Dodson (Haynes) of Springhill, Lauren T. Helms of Springhill, Cristina L. Helms of Waverly, LA and Annalyn Helms of Sarepta; and her great great grandchildren, Camryn R. Dodson and Haygen W. Helms.
