He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Murphy; his sons, Ira Hayes (Carolyn) of Shreveport, LA and Allen Hayes (Aisha) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Devin of Houston, TX, Octavious of Houston, TX, Chris of Houston, TX and Margecia of Houston, TX; and his great grandchildren, Giovanni and Arimani Richardson of Houston, TX.
