She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Childs Slack and Robert Slack; and her friend Richard Smith. She is survived by: her son Matt Smith (Michelle); her grandson Greyson Knight Smith; her stepgranddaughters, Lauren Allman and Heather Scruggs (Anthony); her siblings, Bruce Slack of Bossier City and Brenda Thomas of Leton; her nieces and nephews, Robert Thomas and Elita McRae; her close friends, Jimmie Bennifield of Ruston and Paul Farrington of Springhill; and her family, John and Mandy Nunez. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - Springhill (304 First Street, Northwest Springhill, LA 71075). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
