She was predeceased by: her parents, David Carathers and Helen Carathers; her great grandchild John D. Smith; and her brother Jackie Carathers. She is survived by: her daughters, Teri Smith of Bee Branch, AR and Sheri Benefield (Elaine) of Springhill, LA; her siblings, Carolyn Segalhorst of Bossier City, LA and Joe Carathers of Queen City, TX; her grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda Smith), Justin Hazen, Stephanie (Daniel Jackson) and Jennifer Hazen; and her great grandchild Warren Jackson.
