He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Carl and Susie Slappy Adams; his former wife Martha Gwendolyn Adams; and his sons, Chip, Scott and Michael Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Mickey Nickels; his son Carl Wayne Adams (Gail) of Springhill, LA; his daughter-in-law Connie Adams Bradshaw (Robert) of Springhill, LA; and his grandchildren, Carlee Gwen Nelson (Cade) of Springhill, LA, Caitlyn Adams of Springhill, LA, Tina Adams of Shreveport, LA and Chris Adams of Minden, LA. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
