He is survived by: his parents, Bobbie Allen and Lou Anne Harris Smitherman; his brother Jesse Wade Smitherman; his nephew Ransom Wade Smitherman; his aunts and uncles, Patrick (Amelia Harris), Roger (Joan Smitherman), Buddy Wayne Smitherman and Shirley Smitherman; and his grandparents, Arthur James and Lou Kimble Harris.
