He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica DeMolle Pigott; his son Will Kevin Pigott; his parents, John S. Jr. Pigott and Octavia Hoover Pigott; his siblings, Artemeas Pigott and Lucien Pigott (Wilma); and his grandson Richard McCarter.
He is survived by: his children, John S. Pigott and Shawn Ann Pigott; his foster sons, Patrick McKeen of Alaska and David Gaines; and his grandchildren, Erika Pigott Beardon, Rochelle Miles, Cordelia McCarter and Sissy Bickford. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
