He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude K. Elkins, Sr. and Mary Donegan Elkins; his wife Lorene Bilbra Elkins; and his sister Joanne Elkins Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Janice Elkins Keene (Thomas) of Baton Rouge, LA, Deborah Elkins Kirby (Ed) of Covington, LA and Claude K. Elkins, III (Nancy) of Willis, TX; and his sister-in-law Christine Tanksley of Madison, TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
