He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Carruth Lind; his parents, Carl Lind and Elinor Rooney Lind Messersmith; his daughter Leah L. Mullins; and his son-in-law Donnie Hicks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leslye L. Lockfield (Chad), Carla L. Compton (John) and Lynley L. Hicks; his son-in-law Scott Mullins; his brother Tommy Lind (Eugenia); and his grandchildren, Kandyce (Eric), Konner (Katie), Karson (Devon), Reagan (John), Logan, Skylar (Adam), Cody (Brittany), Tyler, Brandon (Morgan), Denver (Patti), Jordin, Tanner, Cooper, Dalton and Chandler. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
