He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Bennett and Lucy M. Davis; his stepfather Johnnie Davis; his daughter Varonda Nash; and his grandson Antonio Bennett.
He is survived by: his child Johnnie (Yolanda); his siblings, Evelyn Bennett of Baton Rouge, LA., Maurice Bennett, Mark Bennett and Perry Bennett, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA; and his aunt Gladys Brock (Grand) of Gonzales, LA. He is also survived by Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
