He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Abram Franklin and Mylus Franklin, Sr.; his wife Judy Evans; and his son Terrill Anthony Franklin Sr. (Natasha). He is survived by: his son Darrick Michael Franklin Sr. (Raynette); his grandchildren, Deandria Nelson, Darrick Franklin Jr., Cameron Wells, Jordan Franklin, Nadia Franklin and Terrill Franklin Jr.; his great grandchildren, ZaNiyah Nelson and Myles Nelson; his sisters, Christine Jackson and Clementine Franklin; and his goddaughter Deborah Franklin Dupre.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Word International Church (2528 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, LA 70461). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Mylus Franklin Jr. entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 81, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
