With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael A. Badinger of Slidell, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his father Albert Frances Badinger; his siblings, Mark, Billy (Lisa) and Cynthia Badinger; his nephew Alexander; and his niece Julia Badinger of New Orleans, Louisiana..

“Mike and I served together in the Air Force at McConnell AFB in Kansas. We were good friends there, and thanks to the internet, reestablished that friendship years later. We picked up where we left off, with endless discussions of science and technology. Mike's brilliance and creativity always amazed me. This summer I was sad to learn of his health problems, but his attitude remained positive. With his passing, I've lost more than a friend. My deepest sympathy to his family.
