We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John Goebel Prendergast Jr. of Slidell, Louisiana, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Judith Anne Allen Prendergast (First Lieutenant John Goebel Prendergast, Sr.) and France. He is survived by: his daughters, Judith Anne Prendergast Kilduff (Mark J. Kilduff) and Teffany Paige Williams Keilberg (Larry); his grandchildren, Mark Edward Kilduff, Elizabeth Anne Kilduff, Jonathan Blake Keilberg (Shardel) and Elizabeth Anne Keilberg; his brother Allen Harrison Prendergast (Jeannie Rose Prendergast); his nephew John Allen Prendergast (Stephanie); his niece Jena Prendergast; and his cousins, Anne Allen Bowman and Laura Allen Conrad (Anne Mayfield Prendergast). He is also survived by two great nephews, one great niece.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Christ Covenant Church (800 Fullwood Ln, Matthews, NC 28105). Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA.
