As Francis George departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Francis George. Though Francis George may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Shemack; and his parents, Frank Shemack and Isabelle Shemack. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Rose White; his daughters, Krystal Shemack (Christopher Andersen), Kristina Calecas (James Calecas Jr.) and Paula Bitely (Bruce Bitely); his grandson James Calecas III; his brother John Shemack; and his mother-in-law Evenlyn Columbel.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA 70460). The military honors was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (34888 Grantham College Rd, Slidell, LA 70460).
