With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elder Louis Joe Smith of Slidell, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Louis and Thelma Jones Smith; and his children, Joe Smith, David Smith, Alma Smith Valentine Wright and Marvin Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Alberta W. Smith; and his children, Gail, Michael, Brenda and Albert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Christian Love Church (60451 Dixie Rd, Slidell, LA 70460). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at the Perryman-Fields-Jones-Vaultz Cemetery (55546 LA-433, Slidell, LA 70461).
