With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel William Cooper Jr. of Slidell, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel William Cooper Sr. and Bertha Braquet Cooper; his son Daniel William Cooper III; and his brothers, Allan and David.
He is survived by: his children, Charmaine Colette Cooper Hussain of New Orleans, Louisiana and Darren William Cooper (Anne Louise Malyska) of Verona; his grandsons, Simon Gabriel Hussain, John Anthony Cooper, Cole Augustine Cooper and Daniel Austin Cooper; and his siblings, Jean, Michael Cooper and Jeanne Dufour.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA 70460).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Daniel's memory to the Charlotte Cooper Memorial Library at St. Margaret Mary School, 1050A Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458.
