He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffith Gabourel and Mercedes Gabourel; and his siblings, Irving Gabourel, Robert Gabourel, Rita Lazarraga, Griffith Gabourel, Delie Cornick, Sylvia Alton, Elsie Gomez and Darwin Gabourel.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella Gabourel; his children, Mercedes Vargas (David), Daniel Gabourel Jr. (Jamie) and Ricardo Arturo Ajuria (Marcela); his grandchildren, Kelsey Gabourel, Gavin May, Jace May, Gabriella Vargas, Luke Vargas, Marco Vargas, Ricardo Villegas, Ana Paula Villegas and Astrid Villegas; and his siblings, Vencie Barron and Lisa Vasquez. He is also survived by His dogs were his constant companion.
A man of faith and service, Daniel was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, a distinction that spoke to his commitment to community and charity.
