It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Jean Ortis of Slaughter, Louisiana, who passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Tommy Faciane, Ronald Faciane and Gary Faciane. She is survived by: her children, Jerri Partin (Leroy) of Slaughter, Laura Ortis of New Roads and James Kenneth Ortis Jr. (Becky) of Baton Rouge; her sister Linda Weber; her grandchildren, Amanda Larkin, David Jenkins, Bret Jarreau and Drew Jarreau; and her great grandchildren, Chloe Larkin, Anthony Jenkins, Kyle Jenkins, Avery Jarreau, Eva Jarreau and Ladon Lantz.
