He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, A. C. and Ione; his brothers, A. C. and Jimmy; his son John; and his grandson Chris.
He is survived by: his children, Lady Pierson (Michael), Robin Krumholt (Jeff) and Doug Lawton (Pam); his siblings, Yvonne Wagner and Gilbert Lawton; and his grandchildren, Tommy Lawton, Brad Lawton, Kristi Cummings, Kelli Gehling, Sarah Lawton, John P. Lawton, Jason (Jeremy Krumholt) and Page Krumholt. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
