With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Owen Canady of Simsboro, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Owen left this world on January 23, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. K. Canady and Eunice Canady; and his son Ricky Canady of Ruston. He is survived by: his children, Cindy (Chuck East) of Monroe, LA, Patti (Lorman Smith) of Ruston, LA and Scott Canady (Chanda) of Jonesboro, LA.; his grandchildren, Chris Weems, Carly Smith, Skyler Canady (Courtney), Zachary Smith, Sladen Canady (Cassidy) and Saxton Canady; his great grandchildren, Madison Weems, Brintley Weems, Sailor Canady, Cali Mae Canady and Shiloh Canady; and his great great grandchildren, Everleigh Potier and Grayson Eddy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (2300 W California Ave, Ruston, LA 71270). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Antioch Cemetery (4100 LA-544, Simsboro, LA 71275).
