He was predeceased by: his wife Shirly Ann Beavers; his parents, Coy A. Beavers and Lonie Owens Beavers; his sister Martell Burgess; his brother-in-law Melvin Burgess; and his son-in-law Dennis D. Colvin.
He is survived by: his children, Donna B. Colvin and Lewis L. Beavers (Elaine Beavers); his grandchildren, Christopher Beavers (Kelly Igo Beavers) of Shreveport, Brandy Beavers Walke (Joell Walke) of Middletown, Mac Colvin (Amanda Mercadal Colvin) of Metairie, Wes Colvin (Emalee Ellis Colvin) of Ruston, Patti Hendricks, Larry Hendricks and Ben Robinson; and his child Susan G. Koman Breast. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
