He is survived by: his children, Eve Whitmore of Marksville and Lane Plauche, Jr. (Julie) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Ashley, Alli and Jenni; his great grandchild Nixon; and his sisters, Nina Brinkley, Helen Lacombe, Liz Lacombe, Mary Moreau and Valerie Howell.
