It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Valant Wallace of Simmesport, Louisiana, who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Landry Valant, Sr. and Leana Gipson Valant; and her brother Edward Charles Valant. She is survived by: her children, Tiffany Wallace of Simmesport and Joel Wallace of Simmesport; her close friend Van Prout of Simmesport; and her siblings, Landry Valant of Odenburg, Earnest Valant of Odenburg, Landry "Jake" Valant, Jr. of Odenburg, Dennis Valant of Odenburg, Ida Valant-Osborne of Odenburg, Chester Valant of Odenburg, Marilyn Valant of Odenburg and Daniel Valant of Mansura. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 5 nieces & 2 nephews; 24 great-nieces & nephews; 1 great-great-niece.
