With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Houston Bass of Simmesport, Louisiana, who passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Michelle Bass; his wife Mary Lou Redmond Bass; his parents, George David Bass and Lessie Bass; and his siblings, Patricia Martin, Georgann Bass, Stella Sasser and Jackie Buck.

He is survived by: his children, Roxana Durrett (Richard), David Bass, II (Abigail) and Kevin Bass (Leanne Posey); and his sister Gail Carter. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
