He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Martin and Lawrence Clyde Allen; and his wife Louise Robinson Allen. He is survived by: his sister Mary Allen Plonsky of Lafayette, LA; his children, William J. "Bill" Allen, Jr. (Bonnie), Catherine Allen Smith (Lewis) and Andrew Martin Allen (Gwendolyne); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen Jones, Andrew Jeremy Allen, Robert Lewis Smith, III, Alexander James Allen and Rachel Allen; and his great grandchild Caroline Elizabeth Jones. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
