He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Armitage and Rosa Armitage; his wife Barbara Armitage; his son Michael Armitage; and his siblings, Kenneth Armitage, Benny Armitage, Freda Lyons, Lola Blevins, Wilma Hargrove and Audrey Conway.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Hardiman (Dennis), Steve Armitage (Dondra), Nancie Holcomb, Kirk Armitage (Cheri) and Deanna Zimmerman (Brad). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as other extended family and friends.
