She was predeceased by: her grandparents, James and Carrie Bozeman; her parents, Walter Wright and Eunice Wright; her sister Gail Watson; and her aunts, Clydell Williams and Vera Stuckey.
She is survived by: her husband E. H. Cates (Sonny); and her children, John K. Rodgers, Sherry Lynn Forrester (Geff), Kaye Woodard, Amanda Cassel and Laura Cates. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
