It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Merwin McMahen of Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Magnolia, Arkansas, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ona May and Walter Bran McMahen; his wife Mildred Elizabeth McMahen; and his stepson Mike Newman. He is survived by: his daughter Tammie Linden of Austin, Texas; and his stepchildren, Albert Newman of Shreveport and Debbie Newman of Carthage, Texas.. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
