He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kathryn Griffin Howell and John Howell; his father-in-law David H. Walke Sr.; and his sister-in-law Judith Howell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Walke Howell; his daughter Kathryn Wood (David); his granddaughters, Caroline and Camille Wood; his brothers, Jim Howell and John Howell (Cindy); his mother-in-law Ann Walke; and his siblings-in-law, Ginny Simmons (L. E.), David Walke (Charlsie) and Martin Walke (Mary Leah). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
