It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommie Joe Hester of Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Bienville, Louisiana, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Pink and Dennie Gladys Beasley Hester; his brother Alvin Clifton "AC" Hester; his wife Edna Maxine "Mackie" Woodward; and his granddaughter Lauren Childers.
He is survived by: his brother James Bennett Hester (Karen); his child Joey (Tina); his grandchildren, Adam, Jacob (Katie), Chance (Caitlin), Mackenzie and Jon-Thomas; his child Sammy (Tracy); his grandchildren, Pat, Dan (JoRae) and Landon (Anthony); his son Phillip (Karen); his grandchildren, Briana Peet (Matthew) and Cody; his daughter Tina Lodatto (Donny); his grandchildren, Tony (April), Kristina and Kasey; his son Denny (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Jordan and Kennedy. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
