She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom B. Blackbourne and Esta Mae Morris Blackbourne; her husband Melvin E. Simmons, Jr.; and her siblings, David Norman Blackbourne and Jennie Blackbourne Moyer.
She is survived by: her nieces, Jana Blackbourne Smith of Conroe and Marion Moyer Browne of Mesa, Arizona.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Shreveport Southside (2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118).
