He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Smith; his uncles, Vernon, Bill Lamb, Jerry Palumbo and Buddy Terry; his aunt Gayle Layton; and his mother-in-law Kathryn Haskins Ebarb.
He is survived by: his father Donnie Smith (Jessica) of Vivian; his daughters, Alissa and Cassidy of Shreveport; his siblings, Kenneth Smith (Patricia) of Ida, Kevin Smith (Kristen) of Blanchard and Ashlee Jones (Justin) of Mooringsport; his uncle Roger Layton (Linda); his aunts, Donna Aubrey (Robbie), Betty Lamb, Barbara Goheen (Robert), Brenda Hindsman (James), Bea Terry and Rebecca Palumbo; his father-in-law Simon Ebarb Jr. (Maggie); and his sister-in-law Jennifer Martin (James). He is also survived by 1 niece, 4 nephews, 2 great-nephews, numerous cousins, and many close friends.
