He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Blandino Henderson; his father-in-law Milton Henderson; his father Jack Luke Toups (Inez Toups); and his sister Linda Toups Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Philip Burl Toups, Amy Elizabeth Toups Detwiler (Vance Everett Detwiler), Rolanda Lynn Toups Polley (Devin James Polley), Tracy Scott Toups (Sarah McWilliams Toups) and Roland Phillip Toups II (Marian Dixon Toups); and his grandchildren, Everett "Rett" Joseph Detwiler, Elizabeth "Ellie" Grace Detwiler, Brooke Frances Polley, Madilynn Avery Toups, Brady James Polley, Bryce Anthony Toups, Scott Roland Toups, Brandon Aaron Toups and Samuel Harrison Toups.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or a local charity of choice.
