He was predeceased by: his parents, Gillespie Guitrau and Ola Mae Guitrau; and his brothers, Jay, David and Douglas Gillespie.
He is survived by: his wife Josette Cassiere; his children, Michael, R. Paul Gillespie and Sarah Gillespie (Mark Graczykowski); his brother Fred Gillespie (Holly Leitch); his sisters-in-law, Leigha, Sandy and Jackie Gillespie; and his aunts, Carol Whittington and Sylvia Sanchez. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or to Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport.
