It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Mitchell McCown of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudd Mitchell McCown and Dorothy McDade McCown; his son Brian Mitchell McCown; his sister Dorothy McCown Chastain; his granddaughter Rachael Stewart; and his son-in-law Nathan Hartzell.

He is survived by: his son Steven McCown; his granddaughters, Candice and Chelsea (Eric); his daughter Sheila Hartzell; his grandchildren, Adam, Ethan (Charlotte), Evan (Susanna), Alex, Elizabeth and Emily; his daughter Elise Hawks; his grandsons, Jacob (Micayla) and Griffin; his daughter-in-law Sonya McCown; his granddaughters, Michelle Eddins (Cody) and Jennifer McCown; his siblings, Betty Hill (Jimmy) and Dick McCown (Sharon); and his former wife Phyllis Hampel McCown. He is also survived by cousins and great-grandchildren.
