In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard Jean is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Richard Jean's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Baptiste LeBlanc and Gladys Berniard LeBlanc; and his sister Mary-Elizabeth LeBlanc Hebert. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Rials LeBlanc; and his children, Richard Jean LeBlanc, Jr. (Karen Siber LeBlanc), Scott Michael LeBlanc (Jennifer McIntyre LeBlanc) and Yvette LeBlanc Lucas (Ray Frank Lucas, III).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Osborn Funeral Home (3631 Southern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71104). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans (947 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Willis Knighton Cancer Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
